Is Content Marketing the Next Big Thing in Lead Generation? by Jonathon Crowl

What a difference a year makes: A new study shows marketers are now aggressively leaning on content to build a branded reputation and, through that, increase the volume and quality of their leads.

According to “The 2015 Benchmark Report on B2B Content Marketing and Lead Generation,” a report from Starfleet Media, nearly one-third of marketers plan to increase the content portion of their marketing budgets over the next year, with the average company producing 5.5 content assets per month—a nearly 20 percent increase over content production from the prior year.

But, more than ever before, that content is being emphasized as a prime resource for lead generation.
